Dear Parents and Caregivers
Last Wednesday I had the pleasure to attend the Spelling Bee held at Mundaring Primary School. We were represented in the junior section by Jayden K and Dakota H. Both did very well in a high pressure situation. They were required stand in front of a large audience and spell some very difficult words. Some, I must admit, were difficult for me and I had the advantage of trying to spell in my head without the whole world knowing.
Nash L and Riley H represented the School in the senior section of the competition. Both boys also did very well and need to be congratulated for their efforts. We did not win the event, however, we can use the experience gained to improve for next year.
We are currently looking to find new members of the School Board. The School Board has been set up to act as a review of the School’s Business Plan. The Board meets twice per term for about an hour and a half in the evenings.
Remember, that we have School photos being taken tomorrow and in the afternoon we will be holding the annual School Walkathon. I look forward to giving a full report in the next newsletter about the event.
I would like to remind parents that this weekend will see our Camp Out on the school oval to help raise fund for the Playgroup. Parents are more than welcome to come and enjoy the night camping o the oval. There will be pizzas delivered and a movie shown on a big screen. I will also be there cooking up a storm on the camp fire. For bookings and orders please see the booking form attached to the newsletter.
I would like to say though, that unfortunately we are not able to have students who are not accompanied by their parents attend the event.
