Today, the 29th of July, Sawyers Valley PS particpated in Schools National Tree Day for the first time.

With the help of Fiona Kent, our school keeper and Karina (Lewis’s Mum from Room 1) we were able to put 182 tree/shrub and native grass seedlings in the ground around out school over the course of the day.  Every single student was able to plant at least one seedling!

The students were enthusiastic and worked well with each other to acheive this goal!

Now we just need that lovely rain to water our little baby plants in…

It was such a great day!  Well done Sawyers Valley – what a school!
