The Room 3 igloo project is well underway with students working hard on its construction most days. When we first got our milk bottles we worked in groups of 3 or 4 to count our bottles and string them up in groups of ten to make it easier to count them all. Then when we had 335 we started construction. We have now used all of those milk bottles and we still need more!
This activity has involved: Maths, counting in ones and tens, Fine Motor Skills, stringing our bottles up, tying knots and taping them together, Viewing , we had to watch a video to see how to make our igloo, Listening and Speaking, to ask questions about our igloo ,listen to our groups and hear instruction so a lot of learning has come out of one small ( giant!) activity!
